I genuinely get a little buzz of excitement when I pull the next challenge out from the #MindfulMay jar. Mindfully brushing my teeth, what the…? They are taking the…! You do not need to be an empath to know I was not over the moon with this challenge. Still, I’m over two weeks in. Exactly half-way through. There is no quitting now.
I did a little prep before starting. Concentrating on my breath, my mind was quiet. I have one of those electric mechanical toothbrushes. Maybe I should have spent a bit more on it. I found it almost impossible to be mindful with the sound of a road hammer going off in my head. The attempt was not a complete failure. I noticed that I am not very keen on the taste of the “new” toothpaste. I say new. It must be at least three weeks old, judging by how little there is left.
How long would a change in toothpaste flavour take you to notice? Did you mindfully brush your teeth?
