I am pretty mindful of my posture most days due to having a “long spine”, which means the gaps between my vertebrae are wider than normal. I’ve slipped a disc three times because of it. Anyone who has lifted anything with me will hear, “lift with your legs not your back”. The challenge was also made easier by a few aches and pains from yesterday’s hike.
I think tuning in to how your body is feeling is good for mindfulness and our general health. I find it most useful when I’m working long hours on the computer. A few timely stretches can make the difference between a restful sleep and a disturbed one. I scan from the top of my head all the way down to my toes and just notice what is going on...
Did you manage to focus on your posture today?
