The most difficult day so far for me. I think this was due to the fact I knew I was going to be out and about most of the day and partially because I just had a lot to do. I struggled at first to identify a repetitive activity. I remembered the suggested activity of unlocking a door as I was opening my garage to leave home. I decided to go with opening and closing doors.
My first job would be to count them, that would help me focus. Between 8am and 4pm I opened and/or closed around 47 different doors. I was genuinely surprised. I clocked up 3 just heading back into the house to collect my phone, which I needed to keep score. I regret now that I didn’t take a picture of each door. I am sure I could have made a nice collage or something for this post. I did manage to check my emotional state for most doors, as well as what the door felt like to open, or not in the case of automated ones. I began to have a little fun with it. Trying to close the door as quietly as possible. Leaving and then bursting back into the room, Oscar (my dog, below) did not appreciate this at all.

I have long been a fan of The Doors; I am now a fan of almost any door. There is something a little bit magical about them. Do you go in, or walk on by? Do you stay or escape? Each one is an opportunity to be mindful and deliberate, if you want it to be. I will be using doors this way for quite some time…
How was day 3 for you?
Be happy, healthy and helpful
