I chose sparkling water with ice and lots of lemon for today’s #MindfulMay challenge. The first thing that hit me was the scent of the lemon. Then comes the cooling, refreshing water on my tongue with a bit of fizz. Following the fizz comes a sort of saltiness. I am left with a really clean “mouthfeel”, something akin to having brushed my teeth.
Other than the obvious thirst-quenching, it reminds me of holidays and being at the beach. There’s no specific memory come to mind, just the feeling of sunshine and relaxing on a beach. A sense of relaxed contentment.
