#MindfulMay – Day 16

Clasping my hands together and holding for 5-10 seconds is not an exercise I have done before. I tried it around a dozen times during the day, varying pressure, time and grip. The sensations were fairly consistent. On day 1 of the challenge, I chose my hands, completely at random, as something that I do not appreciate. Here’s the link to read more about it.

Firstly, I noticed the difference in temperature between parts of my hands. Usually, my fingers were colder. Next came the pressure, sometimes this was accompanied by pain in certain spots. Then, after releasing, I felt a flow of warmth in both my hands. After a while, the warmth and any residual pain subsided. On a couple of occasions, I had the pain shoot up my right arm into my elbow and linger for a while afterwards.

What did you notice whilst doing the #MindfulMay challenge today?

Be happy, healthy and helpful
